We offer Early Pregnancy Reassurance scan from 8 to 15 weeks of pregnancy providing the earliest possible assurance of a confirmed pregnancy and guidance and support in obtaining ongoing care through the NHS pathway. Pro Baby Early Pregnancy Reassurance Scan (EPR) is a 5-10 minute 2D scan. The primary purpose of EPR Baby Scan is to:

  • 10 minute appointment (Up to 5 minute scan time)
  • Visualise and Confirm the Heartbeat of the Baby
  • Ascertain the Viability of an Early Pregnancy
  • See your baby’s heartbeat
  • Take Measurements and Establish Gestational age of the baby
  • Confirm the foetus is Intrauterine (within the uterus), not Ectopic and developing as expected
  • Confirm Single or Multiple pregnancy
  • Digital Early scan report
  • Digital copies of all of your images
  • Guidance and Support for Ongoing Care in the NHS
  • Internal scan is available if required for an extra charge
  • All scans are performed by Qualified NHS Sonographers

Full bladder is required for the scan. Please drink approximately 1 pint of water 20 minutes prior to your appointment

Please note that the gender of the baby will not be determined at this stage.

Please note we use a transabdominal probe for this scan. Internal scan is available if required.

Appointment Cancellation Policy- 48 Hour notice is required if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Cancellation fee is applied.

Important Notes:
It is advised that you should see your GP or healthcare professional after the confirmation of your pregnancy. All our Ultrasound scans are performed by experienced, highly qualified and registered Sonographers or Radiologists who also work within local NHS hospitals and are dedicated to caring for you and your baby.Please note we will not be deliberately looking for any anomalies or checking for Down’s syndrome or other abnormalities. However, in the unlikely event of finding a problem, we will explain our observation to you and you will be given a written report and advised to see your midwife, GP or other healthcare specialist. We will also give you guidance and support in obtaining ongoing care through the NHS.
